General Reminders
Please print this page and keep it handy!
- Before mailing score sheets, applications and renewal forms, set aside all sheets with BLANK BOXES. Then check for mistakes and fill in all blank boxes, EXCEPT in the case of new players. Do NOT write "NEW" in the I.D. space. We look for open I.D. spaces so we can issue I.D. numbers.
- Check the score sheets as the scorekeepers bring them to you.
- Always mail the signup sheet with your score sheets, including the date.
- Do not use original forms – even if it’s your last copy. If you do use your last copy, notify the U.S.P.P.A. office for a new copy, or download it using one of the links above.
- Fill in all information on the member application, including renewals.
- Check all member applications to see if they are legible, and print with CAPITAL LETTERS.
- Please use 7 X 10 OR 6 X 9 ENVELOPES. The cost is usually $5.00 per box of 100.
- Use only U.S.P.P.A. rules on score sheet night.
- Use the application form for renewals, new members, transfers, and any other changes.
- Make sure the estimated average is on the member applications.
- Use first and last names on all score sheets.
- MAIL SCORE SHEETS THAT NIGHT, OR BY THE NEXT DAY! Every week.
- Members only please. The member must be on your latest up to date list of averages or have a current I.D. card! Ask to see their personal I.D. if you have any doubt, or call the U.S.P.P.A. office.
- Check the list of averages for the dollar sign ($) and remind the members that they are due for renewal.
- U.S.P.P.A. members deserve to see a current list of averages! We make every effort to send out listings on a weekly basis.
Starting new players with an estimated average!
Use this guide when starting new players with an estimated average. An estimated average is just a best guess until a player gets 12 score sheets in his or her file. At that time the estimated average is dropped from the file and the player’s average is then based strictly on scoresheets. Remind new players their averages may be adjusted until they get at least 99 score sheets.
